Danetre Medical Practice is a busy GP Surgery dedicated to offering exceptional patient care is a hygienic, safe and well-managed environment. For many years they relied on in-house staff to manage daily cleaning duties. When their long-standing cleaners had retired, the practice began searching for a professional cleaning company who could not only take over the cleaning and supplying consumables but also meet the high standards of a healthcare setting, specifically compliance with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleaning.

The Challenge

The practice initially hired a different cleaning contractor. However, several areas of service delivery required improvement. These included the completion of audits, clarity of communication, consistency in compliance documentation. Additionally, some concerns around site safety highlighted the need for a more reliable and proactive cleaning partner.

Brightr Ltd approached Northampton Science Park at a crucial moment, offering a solution to their cleaning challenges. To ensure consistency and reliability, we offered the cleaning positions internally to some of our existing staff—trusted cleaners who had already demonstrated commitment and excellent performance in other roles.     We introduced a structured, surgery appropriate cleaning plan that aligned with the CQC Cleaning Standard. Our team carried out a full site assessment, implemented tailored checklists, appointed consistent cleaning operatives to maintain familiarity with the site. To maintain service quality, a dedicated area supervisor was appointed to carry out monthly audits and verify that all compliance paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

    Compliance & Record Keeping

    To meet the regulatory standards, we set up full audit trails and weekly record logs to demonstrate compliance with the national healthcare guidelines. Our team received training that was specific to medical environments and COSHH requirements.

    Consumables Management

    Brightr also manages the order and supply of all consumables for the site, simplifying stock control and ensuring that every product satisfies relevant health and safety standards.

    End-of-Day Closure and Site Security

    We also took the responsibility for securing their building each evening after cleaning. To provide the practitioners additional peace of mind, our team ensures all doors are locked and site is fully shut down.
